I found darling Ruby on the streets of Al Rahba area in Abu Dhabi, where I managed to stop her from being run over by a car! She came so easily to me, visibly grateful that someone was helping her.

She had a collar on. I managed to find a piece of rope on the roadside, which I used as a leash, and took her home with me. We then went to see if she was microchipped and indeed she was! I then spent days contacting all the veterinary centres in the UAE and even the Municipality to trace her owners, but without any luck.

I have been searching for her owners since August 31, hoping that maybe they just hadn’t registered her anywhere, but it seems to appear that Ruby has been abandoned.

I have also created a Facebook page for her on the off chance that someone might recognise her and take her back.

She is so friendly and loving, not too keen on cats, but adores other dogs and is very calm and relaxed. So, she would do well with children, too. She is house and toilet-trained and very happy to be left alone in the home, too.

She has had her first round of vaccinations, the second batch are due soon and she will be spayed very soon, too. Unfortunately, I am unable to keep her myself, as although my landlord has been very understanding, he won’t let me keep her for much longer.

If you would like further information on Ruby, even if you are able to offer her a foster home whilst she is waiting for her forever home, please get in touch with me via Ruby’s Facebook Page, www.facebook.com/RehomeRuby. She deserves a second chance and maybe you can offer her that.
