I had a problem with my end of service settlement, which was deposited to my account in Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB). I worked in my previous company for almost six years and the company decided to changed the name. All employees had been given a gratuity, which was deposited in our accounts, but DIB froze my transfer. The reason was that I had a personal loan with them.

I provided all the documents that they needed to update my records, pertaining my employment with the new company name — new visa, salary transfer letter, salary certificate and a letter from the new company. But, there was still no feedback from them.

My colleagues have been to DIB branches for the same case as mine, but the bank told them that they would get their money.

Gulf News, please help me with this issue. I need that money for my daughter’s education.
