DUBAI: If you feel guilty about not being able to share your burger with your pet, this could be good news for you. Dubai-based retailer Hawas Group, which launched a dog ice cream in the UAE last year, is now bringing ‘burger patties’ and ‘crispy chips’ for your canine friends.
The products are manufactured by Hugo & Celine, a dog food and grooming products company based in Sweden. “Pet owners in the UAE are always looking for unique treats for their beloved pets and we expect our new treats will impress the feline creatures,” said Ahmad Hawas, CEO of Hawas Group.
Organic
The burger patties, known as Barking Burgers, are made from organic beef and locally sourced vegetables. “They make for a complete meal,” Ahmad said. The Crispy Chips are ox liver chips that make a good rewarding treat. The burger patties cost Dh35 for a pack of two and Dh40 for a pack of chips.
Ahmad said the first shipment is on its way from Stockholm and can be bought online at www.hugoandceline.ae.
“We deliver across the UAE,” he added.
Hugo and Celine was launched in 2015 in Sweden by a pet owner who wanted to create some ‘interesting’ and ‘safe’ delicacies for her two mini dachshunds. “Hugo and Celine, our dogs have been our greatest inspiration and critic,” says Sonja Catani, founder of Hugo & Celine.
