Dubai: The UAE karate team returned from the 12th Arab Championships in Cairo this week with four silver and six bronze medals.
Ahmad Salem and Salama Al Akrawi won individual silvers.
Marwan al Mazmi, Khalifa Al Abbar and Amin Al Awadi won men’s team silver.
Salama Jasem, Huda Ahmad and Humaida Haji won women’s team silver.
Bronze medals went to Hawra Al Ajmi, Hamad Al Gafli, Adel Abdul Aziz and Marwan Al Mazmi at individual level, while in the category for people of determination there were a further two bronze medals for Shaikha Shaikha Bint Sultan Bin Saqr Al Qasimi and Salem Al Muhairi.
