Dubai: Pulse Secure team secured an emphatic eight wicket win over Warrior Cricket Club in the Ocean Fair International Cup at the Ocean Fair Sports Club Grounds in Dubai Investment Park.

Hosts Ocean Fair team too registered a six-wicket win over Avengers Cricket Club, while Cool Boys failed to remain cool and reach their target against All Star Rangers and lost the match by 23 runs.

In the Junoon Cup being held in Ajman, Multiplex International stopped Iconic Cricket Club by six wickets.

The architect of Pulse team’s victory was Adnaan Khan who cracked 72 runs off just 30 balls after restricting Warriors to 149 runs. With Shahrukh Shaikh too chipping in with 29 runs of just eight balls, Pulse team won with ten overs to spare.

Similarly, Ocean Fair too restricted Avengers to a small total of 117 and won through Ahmad Jami’s knock of 41 runs.

The All Rangers-Cool Boys match was well fought with All-Star Rangers posting 160 runs through a breezy unbeaten 66 from Maqsood. Cool Boys started well, through S. Noman’s 58 but failed to maintain the run rate, finishing 23 runs short. Maqsood sparkled with the ball too taking three wickets for 26. Anderson and Anshil too chipped in with three wickets each.

In Ajman, Iconic Club made a bad start by losing an early wicket of Nadeem Abbas in the first over of the match and went on to lose wickets at regular interval.

Opener Farrukh Kazmi scored 29 runs. Babar Hussain swelled the total through a good knock of 53 runs off 39 balls with six fours and two sixes. Rizwan Amanat chipped in with 24 runs and Iconic Club posted 181 in 18.1 overs.

Multiplex’s top order failed but. Mohammad Yasir scored 27 runs off 25 balls. Later Akhlaq Butt and Haroon Ahmad put on a 96 runs partnership. Akhlaq Butt top scored with 82 runs off 43 with eight fours and three sixes. Haroon Ahmad scored 42 runs.
