Abu Dhabi: The Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy (FBMA) has lined up a number of sports events and activities for girls and young ladies at the newly opened Abu Dhabi Ladies Club (ADLC) in an active and engaging programme.

From August 5 to 16, youngsters aged between 5 and 15 are invited to take part in a whole host of sports, including gymnastics, mixed martial arts, swimming and more, all of which will take place at ADLC’s impressive facility.

Returning or first-time participants can participate in a number of team sports including football, volleyball and basketball. And if that wasn’t enough, track and field events will be readily available for those looking to lace up their training shoes.

Over the 11-day schedule, participants can explore various ways of expressing themselves be it through dance classes or movies, and even for those wishing to get creative with arts and crafts. Popular special workshops and a series of Master Classes will continue to be made available to the young ladies of the capital. These Master Classes will give participants the unique experience of learning from exceptional local talent, including football and basketball professionals.

Speaking about the Summer Camp Part II, Fatima Al Ali from FBMA said: “It’s not only a pleasure to be offering another programme of sports and activities to young ladies in the capital, but it’s encouraging to see the success of the first month activities and amount of girls who signed up.”

All participants in the summer camp will be grouped into three age categories — 5-6 years; 7-10 years; and 11-15. Each day, events will take place from 9am to 2pm, with registration to be completed through ADLC. Registration will cost Dh1,450 per child, with a participant’s sibling entitled to a 10 per cent discount. To register, email summercamp@adlc.ae or call 02 679 0299.
