Dubai: The organisers of the 10th Mohammad Bin Rashid Creative Sports Awards have been impressed with the number of nominations they have received so far for the annual award.
The nomination window opened on April 1 and is set to close at midnight on August 31 and Moaza Al Merri, Secretary General of the Awards, revealed that they have already received “dozens of applications in every category”.
“We are really pleased with the interest and number of applications we have received thus far, and we are not surprised because the Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award enjoys a prestigious place in the world of sports,” Al Merri said.
The MBR Creative Sports Awards is one of the richest and most prestigious awards in its category, honouring individuals, officials, teams and federations for their innovation and creativity in the world of sport. The winners will be announced in the third week of November and they will receive their share of the prize purse of Dh7.5 million at an awards’ function on January 9, 2019.
