Changshu: Wednesday’s Under-23 Asian Cup group match between Saudi Arabia and Jordan in Changshu, China, brought together — for the first time — five Emirati officials in match officiating, organising and analysis.

The officials included Mohammad Al Hattawi, Hamad Al Mazroui, stadium security and safety officer Abdullah Hassan, and technical analysts Mohammad Abdullah and Mohammad Ahmad.

The five UAE representatives expressed their gratitude to Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, and Honourary President of the UAE Football Association (UAE FA).

The UAE didn’t qualify for this tournament but their officials are still at the tournament representing the country.
