Dubai: Gustavo Quinteros was appointed coach of Al Wasl over the weekend, replacing Rodolfo Arruabarrena.

Arruabarrena’s contract wasn’t renewed despite finishing third in the league and reaching both cup finals.

Quinteros, 53, who was born in Argentina but represented Bolivia as a player at the 1994 World Cup, has previously been in charge of the Bolivian and Ecuadorean national teams from 2010 to 2012 and 2015 to 2017, respectively.

He was last in charge of Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr, and finished third last season.
