Dubai: Michael Phelps, the most decorated medallist in the history of Olympics, said that he now has set bigger goals for himself after a glittering swimming career.
"I can now be myself and spread awareness about subjects like mental health," said the American legend.
The goals are now bigger than what he had during his pool days, said arguably the greatest swimmer of all times, who was present at the launch of a store of US sportsgear manufacturers Under Armour at Dubai Mall. A candid Phelps held court to a selected media on a range of subjects, including how fatherhood had mellowed him.
The 32-year-old American, who had retired after record hauls in Beijing and London Olympics, staged a successful comeback at the Rio Olympics last year where he picked up five golds and a silver to end his career with a collective haul of 28 Olympic medals.
