Sharjah: A Dh1 million bonus was granted to Al Hamriya Club’s rowing team by His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
The bonus comes in recognition of the team’s efforts and their gold medal wins during the first edition of the Gulf Rowing Championship held recently in Qatar.
Dr Shaikh Sultan issued directives to reward the players when he received the rowing team at his office on Wednesday. Dr Shaikh Sultan expressed the UAE leadership and people’s pride in the achievements of Emiratis in the regional and international sporting arenas and urged them to continue working hard and to hone their abilities to further boost their performance.
