Sam Allardyce and David Moyes became the latest Premier League managers to leave their jobs on Wednesday to take the total number of departures to 12 over the past 12 months.

There will not be many fans of either club shedding too many tears over this latest news, but there have been plenty of knee-jerk decisions concerning the Premier League hot seats. Should De Boer have been given longer at Palace? Were West Ham harsh on Bilic? Who knows? One thing is for sure, becoming a boss in the English top flight is rarely a long-term career move.
