Dubai: Real Madrid showcased their class and sent an ominous warning to the rest of the teams by thrashing UAE Stars 13-3, while arch-rivals FC Barcelona got the better of Morocco Stars 5-2 to commence their campaign on a winning note in the Dubai Indoor Football Championship being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Egypt Stars were the only ones who gave regional teams some sort of solace as they beat Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam 4–3 in a keenly-fought game.

In the last game of the night, AS Roma defeated the Nile Stars 5–2.

Organised as part of Dubai Sports World, in partnership with Dubai Sports Council and Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment, fans can enjoy another night of thrilling play as the championship continues into its third evening.

All spectators are eligible to win daily prizes including signed jerseys from some of the most illustrious footballers in the world including Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and others. The event will run until July 12.
