Dubai: Dinesh Karthik stepped in place of an injured Wriddhiman Saha as India has named a 18-member squad for the three-Test series against England. The first Test gets under way at Edgbaston on August 1.

Youngster Rishabh Pant, who was in a prolific form in the last Indian Premier League (IPL), has also got a call-up in the squad. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who aggravated a lower back condition in the third ODI against England, has been kept out of the squad as his condition is being assessed by the BCCI medical team. A call on his inclusion in the Test squad will be made soon.

Jasprit Bumrah, who has been included in the squad, will be available for selection from the second Test onwards based on his fitness.
