Dubai: A group of children of determination performed with their counterparts from two mainstream schools during the former’s graduation ceremony to celebrate the 100th birthday of UAE’s founding father Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

A total of 25 student volunteers from GEMS Millennium School Sharjah and Millennium School Dubai put on a heart-warming show along with students of Manzil Centre for People with Special Needs.

Six of Manzil’s exchange interns and 21 individual volunteers helped with the smooth running of the event, a press release said.

“To treat every person as a special soul, no matter what his creed or race, is a mark of Islam”, these words from the Shaikh Zayed were brought to life again during the show.

The event was attended by Sir Christopher Stone, the chief education officer, MENASA for GEMS Education and Ricky Husaini, permanent trustee of Manzil along with Manzil partners and parents of the students.

Addressing the audience, Sir Christopher expressed his admiration towards the inclusion programme and wished the graduates of 2018 all the very best as they embark on their new journey into the world of employment.

The concert was a portrayal of Manzil’s inclusion programme with The Millennium School and GEMS Millennium that has successfully been taking place for the past 10 years.
