ABU DHABI: The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has said that until Sunday, the weather will be humid at night and early morning with a probability of fog and mist formation over some areas, especially on Saturday.

The cloud amount will increase gradually over the sea and northern coastal areas and maybe associated with some light rain by Sunday late night, the centre said in its latest forecast.

Wind will be light to moderate westerly to northwesterly, with a speed of 15-25km/h reaching 35km/h. From Sunday noon, wind will gradually become fresh northwesterly over the sea, and then extend to the internal areas, kicking up dust during daytime, with a speed of 25-35km/h reaching 50km/h over the sea. There could be a slight drop in temperatures, the NCM reported.

The Arabian Gulf and Oman sea will be moderate, becoming rough to very rough at times in the Arabian Gulf around noon on Sunday.

On Monday and Tuesday, the clouds will continue to increase, with a chance of rain at different intervals. There could be some freezing showers in the mountains with a significant fall in temperature over northern mountains.

The northwesterly fresh wind will continue to lash the country on Monday, becoming easterly-north-easterly gradually by Monday late night over the east and northern areas and it will be fresh to strong at times with a speed of 25-40km/h reaching 60km/h over sea and with cloud activity. The Arabian Gulf will be rough to very rough at times, especially on Monday, and Oman Sea rough with cloud activity.
