Dubai: Residents have been urged to watch out for rain, dust, fog or mist will affect the country until Saturday as unstable weather.
The National Centre of Meteorology said the unstable weather is a confluence of a variety of factors: a low pressure over northern Saudi Arabia and an air mass coming from the Kingdom towards the UAE coupled with cold air, an extension of a low pressure from the Red Sea, and warm and humid air front from the southeastern part of the Arabian Peninsula.
NCM said scattered rainfall is expected over coastal and northern areas on Wednesday as the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times.
South-easterly to North-easterly winds will be moderate to fresh at times, at a speed of 20–35 km/h, reaching 45 km/h over the sea during cloud activity and over exposed areas, could kick up dust.
Chances of rainfall will decrease on Thursday to slight to moderate over the coasts and some northern areas while the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies.
The same wind system will affect the country but will have win gusts reaching 40km/h over the sea.
The rain clouds will move westward on Friday bringing a chance of showers over the western part of UAE. Some showers are still expected in the northern parts.
Relative humidity will increase on Saturday night and early morning, giving rise to fog or mist formation over the internal areas.
The country will be hazy and partly cloudy, coupled with a fall of temperatures.
The Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will be moderate to rough on Wednesday until Friday. On Saturday the Arabian Gulf will be rough while the Oman Sea will be moderate.
