Dubai: After weeks of sizzling sunshine, some locations in UAE are starting to enjoy a break in the temps, which can be a signal to the onset of cooler days ahead.
In the village of Damtha, near Al Ain, temperatures dropped to their lowest level of the season at 21.8 degrees Celsius on Saturday, the first day of the month.
Mercury levels this summer have hit more than 50 degrees Celsius, with the hottest spot in the country registering 51.5 degrees Celsius in July.
Sunday, however, will remain hot and hazy for most UAE residents, according to the latest weather forecast. The lowest temperature for the day touched 23 degrees Celsius in Jais mountain at 4:30am
There will be clouds appearing at times. Light to moderate winds will freshen up conditions during the day, although they can cause blowing dust over some northern and eastern areas.
Maximum temperatures will be hovering between 32 degrees Celsius and 38 degrees Celsius, while humidity levels will soar to its highest level at 88 per cent this evening, at 8pm.
