Abu Dhabi: Slightly hazy and partly cloudy weather is expected on Tuesday after visibility improved considerably on Monday following the huge sandstorm and heavy winds that lashed country on Sunday morning, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.

Visibility improved better than expected by Monday afternoon in most parts of the country after sandstorms played havoc with normal life throughout Sunday.

The suspended dust which continued to cause poor visibility in some areas in Fujairah was also expected to come down by Monday night.

“On Tuesday, it will be a little hazy in general and partly cloudy weather at times,” said Ahmad Al Kamali, a weather forecaster.

There will be clouds in eastern parts of the country by afternoon with moderate winds reaching up to 40 kmph at times blowing dust locally, he said.

A slight drop in temperatures is expected with maximum temperature predicted between 35 to 42 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature between 24 and 29 degrees Celsius.

Though calm generally, the Arabian Gulf will become rough at times with up to six feet high waves. The Oman Gulf will experience moderate waves in general.
