Dubai: More foggy days are expected this week, and drivers are urged to be more cautious especially in thick fog expected during late nights and early mornings.

But wintry days may be upon us from Wednesday, according to weathermen at the National Centre for Seismology and Meteorology NCMS).

Evenings will be marked by higher levels of humidity, while fog is expected over different areas of the country during mornings.

Fog alerts are still up this week, with potentially heavy fog and visibility across the UAE’s roads dropping to less than 1km.

Meanwhile, low clouds will develop toward East and South by afternoon — becoming convectire on Thursday and Friday and may be associated with rainfall.

North-westerly winds will gradually freshen in the afternoon and evening of Tuesday.

The wind will change on Thursday and Friday to be Easterly and North-easterly, becoming fresh at times with convective clouds, said forecasters at the NCMS.

Clouds are expected to form over some eastern areas, becoming convective at times during the afternoon.

Light to moderate northeasterly-northwesterly winds will blow across the country, bringing in cooler air especially during the afternoon.

The chance of fog formation is expected to increase at night and into the early morning over some coastal and internal areas.
