Dubai: The foggy and misty weather has made a comeback over UAE, giiving way to a relatively pleasant morning in some parts of the country.

Fog formations were spotted in western locations early Monday, prompting meteorologists to issue a warning against reduced visibility on some roads.

Abu Dhabi’s western region, particularly the town of Al Ghayati, was shrouded in fog, according to the National Centre for Meteorology.

Clouds of mist also descended on the UAE capital’s Al Dhafra area, particularly on Al Ruwais, Baynunah and Al Silaa.

At around 5am, weather specialists raised yellow and red-level alerts, reminding motorists to be careful when driving in areas with poor visibility.

The lowest temperature was recorded at 23.5 degrees Celsius in Jais Mountain at 6:15am.

UAE residents will continue to bask in hot and hazy weather today, September 3, although the maximum temperature is predicted to ease further to 35 degrees Celsius.

Only last week, mercury levels in the country nearly touched 50 degrees Celsius.

Humidity will increase later in the evening and early morning the next day over some coastal areas, while blankets of fog and mist will again form.

“[There will be] light to moderate winds in general, freshening at times and causing blowing dust during daytime over some northern and eastern areas,” the latest weather bulletin stated.
