Dubai: Pack your sunscreens and stay hydrated if you’re planning to go outdoors or drive around the country during the Eid Al Adha holidays, as the UAE will be mostly sunny during the day and humid at night.

Weather in the UAE will be hot in general and hazy at times over some areas. Rain clouds, however, might appear in the east and southward on Monday and Tuesday afternoon, and may give holidaymakers some respite from the heat.

The coastal areas of Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi will have maximum temperatures of between 42C and 43C on Monday, rising to 44C to 45C on Tuesday. Fujairah will experience milder temperatures, with the mercury reaching a maximum 37C to 38C on Monday and Tuesday.

Al Ain and interior areas are expected to see temperatures in high 40s. Qasyoura might hit 49C, while Mezaira and Mukhariz are expected to peak at 48C.

Relative humidity levels will be highest in western coastal areas such as in Al Ruwais and Sila, reaching 95 per cent on Monday and Tuesday. Abu Dhabi city will be humid on Tuesday as well, at 90 per cent.

Dubai, Sharjah and Fujairah will also be sticky with humidity levels reaching up to 85 per cent, with a possibility of fog or mist in the morning.

Slight to moderate south-easterly to north-easterly and northerly winds will affect the country and may kick up dust.

Beachgoers may enjoy slight to moderate waves over the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea this Eid holiday.
