Dubai: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has distributed Ramadan rations to 400 disadvantaged families in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman as part of its series of humanitarian activities.
The initiatives also include buying Eid gifts for orphans as well as hosting iftar for drivers, with the activities culminating on Zayed Humanitarian Day on 19th of Ramadan.
“RTA in Dubai is keen to make active participation in all Ramadan-related events, especially those bearing humanitarian and charitable values,” said Moaza Al Marri, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communication, Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, RTA.
According to Al Marri, a team of RTA volunteers escorted 50 orphans and children of low-income families, to a shopping centre to buy Eid dresses and cheer them up on this occasion.
