Sharjah: A new speed limit has been set on Kalba City Roads in line with Sharjah Police's goal to maintain road safety and reduce traffic accidents.
The new speed limit on Kalba City roads, including Wadi Al Hilow, which is connected to Malihah Street and the newly opened Ring road, has been fixed at 80km/hr.
Radars will catch motorists speeding at 101km/h or more on these roads, police said.
Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Mohammad Al Yamahi, head of traffic and patrol police department at Eastern Region Police, said the decision was made in accordance with the unified traffic system.
