Dubai: A resident from Pakistan has just made himself Dh3.6 million richer after hitting the jackpot in the latest draw in Dubai.

Muhammad Akbar Khan from Islamabad was declared the winner of US$1 million on Tuesday at the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draw.

Khan is the holder of the lucky ticket number 1915. Organisers of the draw, however, have yet to contact the winner, so no further details about him have been released yet.

Three other residents also got lucky after winning one luxury car and two motorbikes.

Tsubasa Mizogami, a Japanese national from Hanoi, Vietnam won a BMW i8 crystal white pearl car with ticket number 0549.  

Clara Lasrado, an Indian national based in Dubai with ticket number 0789 also won a BMW S 1000 XR motorbike in ocean blue.

Lasrado had bought a Dubai Duty Free raffle ticket for the second time on her way to India for holiday.

“It was an unexpected call and I was really surprised. Big thank you Dubai Duty Free.”

The second motorbike winner is Dmitri, a Russian national from St. Peterburg with ticket number 0157. He won a BMW R 1200 RS in frozen bronze black.

Dubai Duty Free also awarded on Tuesday the cheque to the previous Millennium Millionaire winner Suleyman Cem Gunal.

Gunal is a Turikish national from Istanbul who won during the retailer’s 34th anniversary last month.

“I am thrilled to finally receive my winning and I thank Dubai Duty Free for this wonderful gift,” he said.
