Dubai: The Ministry of Community Development has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with Emirates Rehabilitation and Homecare Centre to support Emirati families.

The agreement was signed by Sana Mohammad Suhail, undersecretary in the ministry, and Dr Georges Feghali, chief operating officer of Emirates Healthcare Company.

The agreement seeks to support Emirati families in terms of providing social care, development and sustainable services.

Under the agreement, Emirates Rehabilitation and Homecare Centre will provide medical support and home care services to the elderly across all its branches in the UAE.

Meanwhile, Emirates Rehabilitation and Homecare Centre will participate in social activities organised for people of determination and the elderly in cooperation with the ministry.

“The ministry’s agreement with Emirates Healthcare Company is in line with our efforts to support Vision 2021. We aim to provide the highest quality social services, while developing strategic alliances between federal and local government entities together with the private sector to uplift families in need,” Suhail said.

She pointed out that the partnership reflects the organisation’s focus on developing strategies and launching national initiatives, which are in line with the directives of the country’s leadership.

Emirates Healthcare Company will also work closely with the ministry in developing integrated and holistic health services and programmes to address physical, emotional and mental needs of the elderly and disabled groups in the UAE through its rehab and home care services.

“While the recent agreement will help us provide social care and development to Emirati families through our rehab and home care services, it will also help us improve our services not just for the UAE, but worldwide,” Dr Feghali said.
