Dubai: Gulf News subscriber Jaydeep Sarkar won a brand new BMW 520i M at the final draw of the newspaper’s subscription campaign on Thursday.

The Indian national’s name was drawn by Fathallah Abdullah Fathallah, a senior official from the Department of Economic Development; Thomas Mathew, distribution manager, Gulf News Distribution, and Nilesh Devadia, business manager, Gulf News Distribution, during the draw held at the Gulf News office in Al Safa.

The draw for the mega prize was broadcast live in a Facebook video.

Meanwhile, 200 lucky subscribers also won Dh1,000 worth of diamond vouchers from Joy Alukkas. They were the final batch of winners. In total, 500 subscribers won diamond vouchers.

“We would like to thank our promotion partners as well as our valued subscribers for contributing to this grand success,” said Devadia. “Though we were quite confident of the success of this campaign, the final numbers have surpassed our expectations.”

Aside from getting a chance to be part of the mega draw, all Gulf News subscribers by May 12 received Dh400 shopping vouchers from leading brands such as Centrepoint, Homecentre, Aster Pharmacy and Souq.com, including Dh300 cashback on an Emirates NBD credit card.

“A big thank you goes out to all 550 newspaper distributors who work tirelessly all year round despite challenging conditions to ensure that Gulf News reaches subscribers daily,” Devadia added.
