Dubai: The Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and the Future, in cooperation with Emirates Post Group, has issued Year of Giving memorial stamps as part of its Good Post initiative.
The stamps have been issued in two designs: One carries the official logo of the Year of Giving 2017, and the second symbolises a donation fund to encourage the community to do charity.
The new stamps reflect the UAE’s vision of a culture of charity and giving, which implies that culture should depend on the state’s Islamic and Arab identity as established by UAE’s founding father Shaikh Zayed.
“Year of Giving stamps were issued in order to document the UAE’s humanitarian initiative as stamps reach various countries and people,” said Abdullah Mohammad Al Ashram, acting CEO of Emirates Post Group.
