Dubai: The Dubai Community Theatre and Art Centre (DUCTAC) complex in the Mall of the Emirates will close down on June 30 for relocation. The complex will reopen in City Centre Mirdif in September 2018. The art centre, which was first established in 2006, has paved a way forward for Dubai’s theatrical and creative community.

“We have been working together with our stakeholders on plans to relocate DUCTAC to better suit the future ambitions of the arts community and create a space to inspire future generations,” read a post on the DUCTAC website.

The move is a “new step in the centre’s evolution,” during a fast-changing landscape, it added.

“We see great potential in the growth and success of an up-and-coming art scene within Mirdif and want to share the positive impact DUCTAC has made on the Barsha community with the Mirdif community.”
