Sharjah: City Centre Sharjah is inviting shoppers to share the love for reading with the less privileged by donating children’s books to the mall this month.
The initiative, running in partnership with Emirates Red Crescent, is part of a host of literacy awareness initiatives at City Centre Sharjah in celebration of International Literacy Day on September 8.
Visitors can donate children’s storybooks and schoolbooks at the donation box located at City Centre Sharjah ground floor throughout September.
“City Centre Sharjah wants to promote a positive reading community and support those that have no access to books,” said Mohammad Al Rais, Senior Mall Manager at City Centre Sharjah.
“We also want to inspire generosity in young children by encouraging them to donate their books and create great moments for those less fortunate this month.”
