Dubai: The Dubai Media Camp will help convey a comprehensive picture of the UAE’s incredible development journey to local and international audiences, according to Shaikha Latifa Bint Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.

By strengthening relationships between leaders of various sectors and the media, the camp, organised by Dubai Media Office, helped tell numerous untold stories of aspiration, innovation and success, Shaikha Latifa said.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, attended the camp held at the Al Marmoom Reserve. The camp, which brought together leaders of major Dubai organisations and prominent media professionals, discussed creative ways of covering Dubai’s growth story.

“The Dubai Media Camp generated fresh perspectives on Dubai’s achievements that will enrich media narratives about the emirate’s unique growth experience,” Shaikha Lafita. “The Camp has sparked new ideas about how the media can cover the Dubai experience more comprehensively and authentically, and how Dubai’s leaders can tell even more engaging stories about the city’s journey.”

Shaikha Latifa further said initiatives like the camp bring to the fore fresh stories about how the emirate’s supportive environment and infrastructure have helped businesses around the world, both big and small, achieve great success. The Dubai Media Office’s strategic communication plans will help make sure these stories are heard by international audiences, Shaikha Latifa added.

The camp saw four initiatives launched focused on international press visits, telling Dubai’s stories to the world, promoting relationships between media and decision makers, and supporting entrepreneurship in Dubai. Five brainstorming sessions held at the camp created a list of ‘Top 100 Headlines’ that offers new story ideas on Dubai’s ‘untold’ successes and unique offerings.

The camp is part of the Dubai Media Office’s efforts to contribute to Dubai’s development journey and support the media in contributing to the development of Dubai and the UAE.
