• Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority’s (RAKTDA) new shuttle makes it even easier to access the UAE’s Highest Peak • Visitors looking for adventure can experience the world’s longest zipline or simply enjoy a cool view at the Viewing Deck Park

Ras Al Khaimah: Visitors and residents will have easier access to Jebel Jais, UAE’s highest mountain, with the launch of a new shuttle bus service from Ras Al Khaimah City Centre and the Al Hamra/Al Marjan Island area to Jebel Jais.

The shuttle service will make the World’s Longest Zip Line and the Viewing Deck Park even more accessible for everyone, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) said on Wednesday.

With the average temperature ten degrees cooler in the mountains, the UAE summer is “an opportune time to enjoy Jebel Jais Mountain”, RAKTDA said. The day trip features Jebel Jais Flight, officially the world’s longest zip line at 2.83km, and a Viewing Deck Park with observation points and food trucks.

Recently opened at the Viewing Deck Park is the new Puro Express, a mountain-top version of Puro Restaurant, a rooftop lounge overlooking the coastline. It is open daily from 11am to 8pm on weekdays and 9am to 8pm on weekends.

Haitham Mattar, CEO of RAKTDA, said: “The introduction of the Jebel Jais Shuttle service is a testament to our constant efforts to make our visitors’ trip to Ras Al Khaimah a memorable one. The new shuttle service will ensure a relaxing drive for our visitors to our key tourist destination in the emirate, which boasts the world’s longest zip line as well as 360-degree panoramic views from the Viewing Deck Park.”

Tickets for the shuttle service can be booked online at www.jebeljais.ae/shuttlebus. The shuttle route will operate three coaches daily, covering all the main hotels in Ras Al Khaimah for an inaugural offer of Dh20 one way.
