Dubai: Dubai Laughter Carnival (DLC) is all set to help residents add miles of smiles to their lives.
The carnival will be held at the amphitheatre at Zabeel Park on January 26, organisers said on Wednesday.
Entry is free to the carnival, which will begin at 11am and go on till 8pm.
The day-long therapeutic laughter carnival will be interspersed by “healthy musical cultural entertainment programmes” performed by professionals and children.
Suman Suneja, a student of Laughter Guru Dr. Madan Katari and who has been spearheading Laughter Awareness Programmes in the UAE for many years, will perform Laughter Yoga Dance with all the participants.
The Carnival includes Laughter Fashion Show for all age groups, Laughter Comedy Show, Laughter Seminar by panel of doctors, Laughter Baby Show, Magic Show, International Dance Performances, Kids playing area, Painting competition, Laughter Yoga Show and Laughter Dance Show.
“DLC 2018 is an amalgamation of laughing cultures offering a holistic laughter-filled, unforgettable day in your life journey.” the organisers said.
“Families that laugh together stay healthy and happy. Laughter helps connecting with society, improves relationships. It is the best stress buster which works your abs and improves cardiac health. It also improves secretion of melatonin juices and quality of sleep. Apart from triggering the release of endorphins, laughter improves memory, concentration, health and healing and helps produce a general sense of well-being.”
Organized by Blueberry International Event and Murano Lighting Company, the release claimed, the first-of-its-kind carnival is taking place in association with Dubai Shopping Festival 2018.
