Dubai: Take advantage of the fair weather this Saturday and go on an 8km fun run at the Dubai Parks and Resorts as part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge.

The region’s largest integrated theme park destination is organising the fun run on Saturday at the entertainment destination from 7am until 8.30am.

The fun run will offer participants an interactive way to spend quality time with friends and family while getting active and achieving their Dubai30x30 goals in the beautiful outdoor weather.

This marathon is free of charge and is open to everyone. Entry to the park, however, is not free.

Fun run winners will be announced at the awarding ceremony following the marathon at 9am. Participants can look forward to a variety of valuable prizes such as a one-night stay at Lapita™ Hotel, the Polynesian themed family hotel within the destination, for three female and three male winners and 30 free annual passes allowing the winners to enjoy the destination all-year round.

As a family entertainment destination, we aim to support this citywide fitness movement by organising this fun-packed fitness event and encouraging friends and families to get active while supporting Dubai’s goal of becoming the most active city in the world.”

The fourth Weekend Fitness Carnival will be held at Burj Park in Downtown Dubai, complete with an early ladies-only day on Thursday (November 9) from 8am to 10pm and other interesting features such as massage and physiotherapy sessions, electrical muscle stimulation (EMS), inflatable kids’ area, tons of awesome classes, among others.

The final weekend carnival will be held on November 17 and 18 at Dubai Festival City with surprise celebrity appearances and fitness demonstrations from Dubai’s top trainers from dragon boat racing and sunset yoga on the Festival Bay Helipad to Dubai’s latest Guinness World Record attempt that will be announced in the coming days.

How to get to Dubai Parks and Resorts

Free transportation to the destination will be provided with two pickup points set up at Mall of the Emirates (2 buses, departure at 6.10am), and Ibn Battuta metro station (2 buses, departure at 6.30am). Free parking will be available in the VIP Parking area.
