Ajman: Amina Hospital will offer free health check-ups for fasting residents during Ramadan.

The hospital announced yesterday that it will host a free medical camp from May 17 until the last day of Ramadan. The camp will run from 10am to 10pm at Amina Hospital in Ajman, from 9:30am to 12:30pm and (6:30pm to 10:30pm) at Doctors Medical Centre at the ADCB Building in Sharjah, and from 10am to 1pm and 9pm to 12am at the Sharjah Corniche Medical Centre at Buhaira Corniche.

Dr Abdul Salam Al Mujammaee, Medical Director at Amina Hospital, commented: “Amina Hospital is proud to support the UAE’s Year of Zayed. Through this initiative, we want to underline the importance of healthy practices in the community, prevent infections and help residents, especially those who are unable to afford basic treatment.”

The medical camp will provide visitors with a comprehensive report of their overall health and provide measures and advise on ways to control and manage their illnesses while fasting. The check-up will comprise several tests including those to monitor blood pressure, random blood sugar, BMI, ECG (if required) and cholesterol (if required) in addition to a complimentary doctor’s consultation if the vital signs are abnormal.
