Abu Dhabi: Schoolchildren in the capital can now undergo free health screenings at the Medeor 24X7 Hospital ahead of the start of their 2017-2018 academic year next month.

The screenings will assess overall well-being for children aged four to 15 years, including vision, dental development, hearing and speech, the hospital announced in a statement sent today (August 7). Teachers can also benefit from free heart, gynaecological and general screenings.

“Last year, we reached almost 2,000 children, and we are starting early this year to make it easier to offer appointments,” said Dr Lalu Chacko, chief medical officer at the hospital in Abu Dhabi.
