Dubai: Dubai Municipality (DM) announced today that it has confiscated around 294 tonnes of food products found unfit for human consumption.

DM said that unlicensed vendors were apprehended while trying to sell the putrid food to people in worker accommodations in Muhaisnah, Warisan and Jebel Ali areas.

Faisal Al Bideiwi, Head of the Market Management Department of DM, said, "From April 2017 through April 2018, we have also arrested 2,266 unlicensed vendors, 19 car washers, 35 butchers and 449 beggars."
