Sharjah: His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah (UoS) has praised the achievements made by the university academically and scientifically in the region and at a global level.
Dr Shaikh Sultan referred to the university’s efforts in creating a unique academic institution and the efforts of its founders in placing it first nationwide and ranking 452nd internationally within the global classification of universities in the fields of sustainable development and adherence to environmental standards.
He pointed out that the second achievement had come just a few months ago when the university demonstrated its position at the local and regional level by being classified by two specialised international organisations — QS and The Times — as one of the largest comprehensive and integrated universities at the local and regional level in the fields of scientific research.
Shaikh Sultan was speaking while chairing the 44th meeting of UoS board of trustees held at the Sharjah Ruler’s office at UoS on Wednesday.
Shaikh Sultan expressed thanks and appreciation to members of the university’s trustees board and the administration for their efforts over the years.
The Council reviewed the organisational structure of the university, the full application of electronic files for students in the faculty of medicine, and the completion of electronic files for faculty members.
