Dubai: Smart Dubai has announced the results of the Happiness Meter 2017 at government bodies, with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) being ranked first after achieving 83.49%.
Dubai Police came second, with 81.74 per cent, followed by Dubai Municipality with 80.77 per cent, on the happiness meter for big government bodies.
The Happiness Meter was launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in 2015, aimed to gauge the happiness of Dubai’s residents’ and find out ways to achieve the highest level of happiness in the society.
For moderate government agencies, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority came first on the index, with a rate of 88.13 per cent, while Dubai Courts came second with 81.99 per cent, and Dubai Lands Department came third with 81.05 per cent.
For private entities, Aafaq Islamic Finance secured 97.8 per cent on the happiness meter, followed by the Arab Bank for Investment and Foreign Trade with 97.7 per cent, and Al Jaber Optical came third with 96.6 per cent.
The happiness metre represents a tool that helps draw a roadmap towards enhancing the efficiency and measurement of the quality of smart services provided in Dubai, as well as ways to raise their efficiency to achieve higher rates of happiness among customers.
The Happiness Meter is one of Dubai’s first strategic ‘smart city’ initiatives that represents a measurement gauge for the happiness goal. It allows government entities and private companies hosts of Happiness Meter touch points to relate and rank customer experiences within industry sectors and geographic areas, as well as differentiate between direct and web based interactions.
