Dubai: Emiratis can now use a new app to choose the residential plot allotted for them in Dubai from the government.

Dubai Municipality has invited citizens who have been ordered by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment to acquire residential land in Bur Dubai allotted in the years 2013-2015.

Citizens can use the “Maskani” app available for Android and iOS users to get the right choice for the piece of land that they want, as of Monday, November 27, the civic body said in a press release.

The area of the plot would be 1,120 square metres for buildings with ground plus two floors, which is a renewed height.

The municipality had recently announced the establishment of a new residential area for citizens in the Umm Nahd area, on the Dubai Al Ain Road, with a total area of 762,608 square metres.

The new area takes into account everything that works to achieve prosperity and stability for citizens. It includes amenities and public services such as mosques, schools and public parks, in addition to various commercial services, the municipality said.
