Al Ain: Al Ain Municipality was awarded the golden plaque in the Arab Town Organisation’s City Greening category of the 11th edition of ATO’s awards.
The awards were given to the winners during the 16th ATO conference that took place in Doha. Al Ain Municipality was honoured with the award and certificates of appreciation for its efforts to expand green spaces in the city, and for supervising the implementation of a carefully prepared plan for maintaining green spaces.
The award also recognises the municipality’s efforts in park management and planting greenery in all areas of the city. The size of green spaces in Al Ain is currently 11.7 million square metres, with 32 square metres per capita.
