Ras Al Khaimah: An eighteen-month-old Emirati girl fell into her family home's swimming pool in Ras Al Khaimah on July 3.
The girl, who slipped and fell into the pool, was rescued and taken to the Sqar hospital where she was admitted to the ICU.
Doctors said when the girl was brought to the hospital she was brain dead, but they did succeed in resuscitating her heart.
She died on Tuesday, at around 4am .
The incident comes close behind other similarly tragic accidents.
On July 8, a nine-year-old Emirati boy from Ras Al Khaimah fell into the swimming pool of the Dubai building in which he lived with his family. He was taken to Latifa hospital where he slipped into coma. After nine months, on July 8, he died.
Another nine-year-old Emirati boy drowned in Ras Al Khaimah on June 26 on the beach. Two of the ill-fated child's brothers survived the incident .
The three brothers were with their mother when the incident occurred.
