Ras Al Khaimah: The driver of a truck died in an horrific accident in Ras Al Khaimah on Monday.
The truck fell into a deep concrete hole after the front tyre of the vehicle burst; the Asian driver of the truck was dead by the time paramedics arrived at the accident site, said the police.
Police operation room was alerted soon after the accident on Monday afternoon, said Colonel Ali Saeed Elkum, Head of the Traffic and Patrols Department at RAK Police.
The body of the victim was moved to the hospital.
Colonel Ali Saeed Elkum urged motorists to check their vehicles, including tyres, periodically.
