ABU DHABI: Dr Jamal Mohammad Al Hosni, director-general of the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), has discussed with a delegation from the Ministry of Defence, led by Major-General Pilot Mubarak Al Niyadi, ways of mutual cooperation and the exchange of knowledge to improve the country’s emergency, crisis and disaster management system through joint training and bilateral agreements.

The meeting addressed NCEMA’s strategy, vision, plans, projects and initiatives since its establishment to improve the country’s emergency, crisis and disaster management system according to the highest standards of excellence, leadership and coordination, in cooperation with relevant national authorities and strategic partners from the public and private sectors.

The delegation also reviewed the organisational structure of NCEMA’s Supreme Council, as well as its national, federal and local coordination mechanism, and the readiness of national institutions to manage emergencies and crises according to the national risk register.

It presented their outlook on the ministry’s development while highlighting its duties, responsibilities, specialisations, organisational structure, future challenges and policies, capacity building and strategic analysis.
