Sharjah: A 32-year-old Indian woman died after falling from the seventh floor balcony of her apartment in Sharjah on Monday morning, an official told Gulf News.
Police said the Indian woman died due to the impact of the fall.
“Police and ambulances rushed to the scene of the incident after receiving reports about the woman fall from balcony around 9am,” the police said.
The woman plunged to her death from balcony of an apartment located on the seventh floor of a tower located in Al Majaz area in Sharjah.
As soon as the Sharjah Police was notified about the accident by eyewitnesses, a team from the Criminal and Investigation Department (CID), forensic experts was dispatched to the building, who pronounced that the woman had died instantly.
“The woman fell on ground in front of the main road causing severe damage to her skull, rib cage and limbs,” the police official said.
The body was moved to Al Kuwaiti Hospital and then to the forensic laboratory for autopsy.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
