Sharjah: Sharjah Police is investigating the death of a housemaid who fell to her death from the 10th floor of a high-rise residential building, a police official said.
The Indian housemaid fell on Friday evening in Al Qasimia area of Sharjah .
A team from the Criminal Investigation Department and forensic laboratory as well as paramedics who came to scene found the woman was already dead. “The corpse was taken to the police forensic laboratory to help with the investigations,” he said.
Police confirmed to Gulf News that the housemaid had committed suicide.
The Indian housemaid, 41, identified as P.T. worked for an Indian family, police said.
The family was summoned to the police station for interrogation.
Police investigations are on into the circumstances that led to the incident.
