Dubai: A husband reportedly killed his wife by stabbing her in the neck before hanging himself from the ceiling in his room in Dubai.
An official at Dubai Police said that Nepalese couple were sharing a flat in Al Baraha area.
Police were alerted on Friday night by a flatmate who found the body of the man inside the room and called police.
The police official said the 35-year-old husband has been identified as B.R, and he and his wife were working as cleaners.
Police also found the body of the woman in the same room. “She was lying in a pool of blood as she was stabbed to death with a knife,” the official said.
The bodies were sent to the forensic department for further investigation.
The neighbours told Dubai Police, that the couple had many domestic issues recently and they would fight often and refused anyone to interfere to help solve their disputes.
Dubai Police said initial investigation showed no foul play at the crime scene. The case was referred to Dubai Public Prosecution for further investigation.
