Abu Dhabi: The Federal Supreme Court, presided over by Chief Justice Falah Al Hajri, upheld the ruling of the Abu Dhabi Federal Court of Appeals against two Arabs.

The two defendants had been sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment, to be followed by deportation. The verdict is final and cannot be appealed.

The lower court also ordered the confiscation of all devices, cameras, computers, The Federal Supreme Court also upheld the previous sentence of a third convict (also from an Arab country) in the same case, which provides for 18 months’ imprisonment.

The State Security Prosecution charged the first two defendants with joining terrorist organisations (Al Nusra Front and Daesh) knowing the truth of these organisations and their purposes. The third convict was also charged with collaborating with two terrorist organisations (Nusra Front and Ahrar Al Sham), providing them with arms and ammunition, knowing the truth about the terrorist organisations and their purposes.
