Hodeida: The UAE Armed Forces’ Patriot missile defence system intercepted a ballistic missile fired by the Iran-aligned Al Houthi militia in the direction of Yemen’s densely populated northern district of Mocha in Taiz Governorate.
No casualties or damage were reported as the missile was intercepted far from residential areas.
The continued firing of missiles at Yemeni cities confirms the Iranian regime’s involvement in supplying Al Houthis with missiles and weapons in a stark defiance and violation of the UN Security Council Resolution 2216. Also, firing missiles at populated cities and villages constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law.
The besieged Al Houthi militia is intensifying missile attacks at liberated governorates and cities following its repeated defeats and collapse of its ranks in many fronts.
