Manama: Four Russians are being questioned in Saudi Arabia on terrorism-related charges, Nafetha, the Saudi interior ministry portal that lists the cases of detainees, reported.

The four, including three with regular residence permits and one holding a travel ticket, were arrested on December 25 and are being questioned by the anti-terrorism authorities, Saudi daily Okaz reported on Tuesday.

According to the daily, the suspects are the first Russian nationals to be arrested on terrorism charges in Saudi Arabia.

The four arrests took the number of suspects being detained on terror and security charges in the Saudi kingdom to 5,310, the portal shows.

The list includes five US nationals.
